Food Photo Competition 2013 No 3 : Entry Number 89

This is a beautiful warm image. The composition is nicely balanced, the lighting really effective. The oddly empty glass and untouched toast make one want to wait patiently in anticipation of what is soon to come. But it is the sharp focus, so carefully placed, and the very short depth of field, which make this outstanding, bringing a crunch to the crusty toast. Well done.

I was helping set the dinner table when I noticed this bottle lingering next to some slices of freshly toasted baguette, catching the light just right. This beautiful view was captured with a Canon EOS 6D and Zeiss Planar T 1.4/50 lens. The RAW file was post processed in Photoshop.
