My name is Dave Switzer I took this photo with a Nikon D80 and a 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 lens one morning in early December 2008 in the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge outside Sherwood, Oregon. It was a bitterly cold day with record snow fall when I photographed this coyote on a hunt for mice under the snow. If you look closely you can see a small patch on snow stuck to its nose from thrusting it into the snow.
