This is an interesting and bizarre image. Almost too many stories in one, but it does actually work. It has different things going on, not necessarily connected to each other in an obvious way. A bird sitting on a stick, the washing hanging from the washing line, boats floating on the sea. Very cool!

I really appreciate the recognition! My name is Frieda Kat and I am a 26 year old freelance photographer living in Brooklyn, NY. This photo was taken in Varanasi, India along the Ganges River. Simple pictures are difficult to come by in such a busy place. Everywhere you look something is happening while overlapping something else. Often my pictures in India would capture the chaos as well as the beauty in all the bustling cities. Taken with my Nikon D80, 35 mm lens.
