  • This is such a stunning study of this tortoiseshell's head ... the golden eyes, the few white whiskers, and it's beautiful markings ... all work together to make this a truly memorable image. Nicely done, and congratulations! ~ illona

  • Oh how nice, I'm really happy! Thank you for your praise. It was a special situation when I was allowed to photograph the cutie for animal welfare. Kind regards K.

  • What a fabulous image and capture. The incredible lines of this image are only accentuated by the decision to convert it to black and white, allowing the viewer's eye to travel down the stairs to and the black and white cat, gazing up to stare directly at the camera. Nicely done. ~ illona

  • This is an absolutely wonderful and expert street image ... perfect depth of field to allow the cat to stand out, love soft bokeh, and beautiful management of white balance. Thank you for sharing this standout image. ~ illona

  • Oh my, what a lovely image of these sweet and very young kittens. Such beautiful and shallow depth of field, allowing the fore-kitten to stand out and capture our focus and attention. Nicely done! ~ illona

  • The framing of this cat in between the ironwork of the fence, and the stark contrast of its coat against the darker grey backdrop makes him almost pop from the image. The line of the curled tail echoes the ironwork, and also serves to draw the viewer's focus up to his grooming paw and face. Nicely done. ~ illona

  • Hi, my name is Tanja and I'm from Germany. Thank you so much for the Mark of excellence! It means a lot to me because it's one of the cats of my heart project, the Greek street cats. I took this photo in Santorini with my Nikon D750.

  • In spite of the monotone nature of this image, this adorable orange tabby stands out because of the lovely depth of field and the cat's stunning eyes and direct eye contact with the camera. Nicely done. ~ illona

  • Thank you so much for the Mark of excellence! This is also a photo of a Santorini cat. I took this photo during my work as a volunteer for Sterila, the cat organisation for the Santorini stray cats. The cat was fostered and I helped with pictures finding a good home for him. Tanja from Germany

  • This image of a street cat is quite lovely. The framing of the image and placement of the cat works well, and while the alleyway is cluttered and busy, the shallower depth of field and splash of light around the cat allows the subject to stand out. Nicely captured. ~ illona

  • Thank you so much for making my photo a mark of excellence! This is a feral cat I took in photo many years ago during a trip in my city, Naples (southern Italy). One of my first photos with Nikon D3200 and 18-105 lenses. Post processed with Lightroom. Thanks again. Alessia Piscopo from Italy
