  • The lightening is tremendous but it is the sway in the palms, the real live atmosphere and the retro style that scoop you the prize. Bold and refreshing, you have caught the storm beautifully with an eye catching mix of harsh light and dark, nature's own flash bulb firing into the swirling night. Striking photograph! Well done indeed.

  • So mysterious, a landscape that gradually crawls out from the dark. Great atmosphere, well done.

  • I love a nice minimal composition. This looks so straight forward but you only have to try to realize that this is not so easy. It takes a special eye to find a shot like this in the wider landscape. Nice innovative style, keep it up !

  • So much could be said about this, that is why this photograph is so strong. Not only is it about the shapes and colours which you have composed so well, but it is also a powerful environmental image of a nature-less beach.

  • Beautiful dark lava landscape. It looks like Lanzarote but could be elsewhere. The flash of green vine makes this lovely deep view extra special.

  • This is a clever shot where only the essential elements remain. Well spotted and composed. Telephoto lenses are great for this kind of approach where one can, and you have, made your image with just a parcel of all you have infront of you.

  • Tsé Bit' a'í (rock with wings) is located in Shiprock, New Mexico. I shot this image on a Nikon D7200 last year while visiting the Navajo Nation. Many thanks to the judge for selecting my photo! Learning to capture images of the people and places I love has been a joy.

  • A classic view but you have caught those lines so well, and the winter hue…

  • A great composition where you have given the Three Peaks all the pride they deserve. It is a shame though to have over done the post processing which takes this shot out of the natural.

  • Thank you very much for the appreciation of the composition. You are right, it is too much post produced. Thanks for the advice.
