  • Oh my, what an absolutely stunning image. The deep shadows and tones create an even grittier, more mysterious setting for this relaxed tabby lounging on the stone step with an almost human expression. Beautifully captured and expertly managed in post. Well done, and congratulations! ~ illona

  • This is a great image ... the line of the bench's back and the curve of the iron frame lead the viewer's eye back to the cat and its direct stare at the camera, and the shallow depth of field makes a striking backdrop. Nicely done! ~ illona

  • Many thanks for the honor! I'm an animal photographer from Germany and work under the artist name *elfmet*. The picture was taken on the large outdoor area of a shelter in Thuringia, where many free-range cats lived. This cat had chosen the bank as its regular place and had everything in view from there, including me, of course.

  • This is a lovely and fun image. What cat doesn't love a box? ...much less several boxes? Wonderfully captured. Thank you for sharing! ~ illona

  • Thank you for the kind feedback. I keep coming back to these moments as a metaphor for the past months of stay-at-home. I'm trying to be content like a cat in a box.

  • This is a great image and the conversion to black-and-white allows the cat behind the window to stand out. Nicely captured and managed in post. ~ illona

  • The starkness and simplicity of this image, along with the conversion to black-and-white, narrows the viewer's focus to the pose of the cat and its attempt to come down from the shelf. Wonderful capture and management in post. ~ illona
