  • You have captured that instant with humour. This is a perfect street shot where elements of a picture come together in an evocative manner, helped of course by the photographer. Well done, fun shot, you win the prize.

  • Thank you so much! Big appreciation to you and all the great street photographers here. I shot this using Fujifilm Superia 200 film with my trust Olympus OM-1. This scene is from a small town in Virginia. I believe people here are waiting for a parade to start. No real post-processing except removing some dust spots.

  • Lovely and mysterious. You have balanced this so well, the weight of the composition and the colours take over from the subject, making a nice abstract.

  • A late winter night on Fifth Avenue in New York. Taken with an Olympus OM-D E-M5 and a Leica 25mm Summilux Lens 1/20 sec at F 1.4. Many thanks to I-Shot-It for this acknowledgement.

  • Nice play with the light and its shadow divide this photo up cleverly. the background texture is troubling and intriguing at the same time. It is a happy picture of friendship and a simple graphic composition. Well done.

  • This minimal composition has so much space to frame the subject and create the wait, maybe a long wait, in this timeless scene.

  • Thanks a lot for the Mark of Excellence. This image was shot a foggy afternoon in February. The bus shelter is found just outside the small town Drobak in Norway. The image was shot with my much beloved Fujifilm x100t, 23mm (f/5.6, 1/125)

  • Here is a lovely photograph and one of those instants which only come about thanks to a photographer’s anticipation. It is a fun photo with an endearing connection.

  • Thanks so much for the mark of excellence! My name is Polina and I am a dog photographer. This was shot in Paris, I literally followed this couple around for blocks photographing them from behind, and finally asked them to pose for a more formal portrait.

  • This probably took some time to pull off, not many folk about to use as ingredients in this architectural picture… Nice work, well done.

  • Obviously those children are surprised to see these delivery men. So much seems out of place. The colourful kids in the very grey inner city concrete scene and an after life destination for these pink, half cows, being carted off over somebody’s shoulders. Green veg anyone?

  • Fresh, original. I can feel myself sitting down for a rest with a sigh and a glass of Orangina. Nice situation and pleasant familiar picture for us all.

  • Lovely after the rain colours for this very peaceful park scene. The red graffitti art sets off the green grass so well, the 2 lonely figures complement one another. I guess you are sitting on another bench.

  • Thank you so much for the mark of excellence! My name is Markus Kumpf and I usually work as an organist in Germany. I captured this scene during my concert tour through Lithuania in a park in Vilnius on a rainy summer day. This man sits so wonderfully relaxed under an umbrella in the middle of the city and I had to take a picture of him. This image was shot with my Canon EOS 7D and a Canon Zoom Lens EF 100-400mm IS II USM, 113 mm (f/5.6, 1/125).

  • There is so much to read into this although it is just a part of something, someone. You have isolated the colours, the party dress, you have made a nice composition and an intriguing abstract photograph where most people would have photographed the child’s face. Well done for framing out of the box.
