  • The I-Shot-It team would like to congratulate the winning photographer of this Flower competition, to such great submission! Composition, vivid colours, as well as the element of rain in it, creating a stunning image with a lovely story. Great timing, capturing the appearance of a bird as well! This could be a montage, or is it a slice of real life? This image is lovely in multiple layers and ways.

  • I'd like to thank the The I-Shot-It team and judge Birgit Krippner for choosing my photo. My name is Patrice Brost O'Rourke from New Jersey USA. This was taken in the Summer on the side of my house. A sunflower with a female Goldfinch, state bird of New Jersey on top. There's almost a symbiotic relationship between the flower the bird and the rain. The bird eats seeds from the flower, while dropping some seeds to the ground. The rain helps the seeds grow the flower to feed the birds again. Taken with a ZF-300 Lumix with a Leica lens. Thanks again!

  • It is the colours, the clarity and the focus, which makes this an excellent image. The depths of filed creates an illusion of a three-dimensionallity, which works well with the vivid colous of the flower and the dark green in the background.

  • "Awakened" Gerbers are among my favorite garden flowers. Hardy, colorful, they even flower in mild winters here in SC. This image is taken in my garden in natural light with a little sparkle from the morning dew. Taken with a Nikon D750 and Nikkor 105. Processed in LR and Luminar. It is an honor to receive a Mark of Excellence in the Flower Competition. Thank you for the lovely comments.

  • Feeling the chill of winter, when looking at this stunning photo, which seems to be a flower molded from ice. Pale colours and a tight depths of field making this a beautiful capture.

  • One can feel a little chill in the air, when looking up at the little blossom on these branches. Possibly one of the first signs of spring, what positive feeling this is, filled with hope. Well seen and beautifully executed.

  • "Promised" We are told they will return and here on a cold February day, there appears the hope of Spring, a single pink Cherry blossom. This recognition and your comments are so appreciated. The image is taken with a Leica M10-P and the Leica Summilux 1:1.4/50 ASPH and processed in LR.

  • Vivid colours and strong contrast make this a striking and intriguing image. Having a bee approaching this flower is a nice and unexpected extra to this beautiful photo.

  • Gaining insight through a window, the view which the photographer decided sharing with us. Enjoying this vivid and colorful situation. A reflexion from the glass mixing with the inside, creating a complex visual.

  • Beautifully framed, showing the essence of the flower. Just enough shown, to keep the observer curious and engaged with this image. The water drops add depth and texture, and make this image shine.

  • Thanks to the I-shot-it team for the Mark of Excellence! I'm Michaela from Germany. I shot this photo on a winters day where you normally don't expect to see flowers. It was a very small flower. I shot with a Porst color reflex f1,4 55 mm vintage lense (back from the 70's) and my Fuji X-T20 on a very small aperture. This might be the reason why it's not so sharp... But I'm happy that you chose it for a mark of excellence anyways! Congratulations also to the winner! This is really a wonderful picture!

  • Darkness, depths and colours, make this an intriguing photograph to look at and to observe. Beautiful light casted on the flowers underline the theatrical atmosphere in this photograph.

  • First off I would like to thank our judge, for this wonderful honor. Flowers are one of my favorite things to photograph. The image was shot on a Fuji AX3, with a 55mm Micro Nikkor. The camera was set in Dynamic Tone. The lighting was a thin LCD light with a diffusion screen. The image is straight out of the camera. I am Karen Curran and I live in Durham, North Carolina.

  • This is a great photo with a gentle pastel colour pallet. The thin vertical lines are almost like veins of human skin. This image is more abstract than most submissions in this flower competition, and it is skillfully crafted.
