  • Wow ! I am absolutely excited. My picture received a "Mark of Excellence". Thank you so much, that makes me proud. My name is Ulli (Ulrike) Hänelt. I am from Bavaria / Germany. I am "only" a hobby photographer and took this picture with my Canon EOS 80d and my Canon 70-200 mm lens. The picture was taken during my son´s birthday party. He is born in January and every year we invite about 10 kids for a tobbogganing party. It is always much fun to watch the kids and gives me lots of opportunities to take some nice and funny action pictures.

  • This young artist at work shows devotion, and gives away a tiny smile in doing so. We don’t need to see colour in this photo, the colourful personality of this individual comes through strongly.

  • We wonder if this photo was shot in analog, or if post-production makes it seem an image from film. Regardless and because of this it is a truly beautiful photo of a handsome young man. The expression captured is priceless, and that the boy is not looking directly at us (in the camera) brings it up a notch even more. Wonderful .. and full of wonders!

  • A little bit of nostalgia was used to transport us into the past. Also the wooden horse suggests ‘yesterday’, and candle light underlines this. A homy and comfortable feeling overcomes the observer. What cute young lady she is, and she looks so happy!

  • Sometimes the best and most creative games among kids is simplicity. It doesn’t take a lot for children to have fun. This photo illustrates this well, the boys look happy and content with their big ’toy’. We like the straight lines in the photo, mixed with diagonals and round tires. The kids break up the symmetry. Well composed and seen.

  • The most comforting place on earth for this very young person. We just see enough to get the idea of the big picture. This baby is in the best place possible, and the photographer captures this warm feeling well.

  • Thank you so much for your mark of excellence! This photo was taken during a photoshoot for a waterpark here on the touristic island Mallorca, where I live and work as photographer. I think with sun, water and music we all become children again and that always means big fun :) Canon 6D, Lense Tamron 24-70, digital processed (photoshop)

  • Not everyone has to smile to look pretty! Getting ready for something, may it be a meal or a swim, these two kids try really hard not to give away too much. A lovely scene of a beautiful day in the sun.

  • One of the elements that I enjoy as an I-Shot-It photo judge is, that people from all around this world submit photographs. This can be on the opposite side of this globe, where I am. This is a beautiful image of what might be a family heading home, or maybe going somewhere else. The mood which is being transported in this frame tells a big story - we don’t need to have details. We love this photo and would like to thank the photographer for submitting it to this Child Photo Competition.

  • Photo taken by John Shingleton, Australian, fromTerrigal, New South Wales, Australia. Photo taken in northern Romania on a backroad. Scenes such as this are still common in Romania. I drove past the family and parked at the top of the hill and then walked down until I found a location where the photo would include the hills in the background, the crucifix, and the village and then waited for the family to arrive. Taken with a Leica Q.

  • Is this a waving of good bye or maybe a hello? The observer of this image is sitting on the bus and the priceless smile and piercing eye contact goes to our heart. These to children are obviously happy seeing the person, whoever this might be?

  • Taken by John Shingleton, Australian, living in Terrigal , NSW, Australia. Photo taken in Bidiyah, a desert town in central Oman, in December 2018. I were driving through the town in a 4WD when I spotted a group of small children waving to us. I asked the driver to stop so I could take some photos- which were not special. Then as we pulled away I spotted these two small children running after us. I was sitting in the passenger seat beside the driver and luckily my window was still wound down. I did not have time to put my camera to my eye or frame the scene on the LCD so I just held the camera out of the window and hoped. I was using my Leica Q which focused really quickly on the children. The photo was far from straight which I corrected in Lightroom and it is a crop equivalent to about a 46mm lens.

  • The motion of the pigeons on this cold winter day is amazing. The angle in which the photographer chose to capture this scene makes this photo dramatic and brings the viewer right in the middle of it all. Great composition and well done for being ready for this exposure in the right moment.

  • A soulful and insightful moment this is, the light perfectly showing on this boys face. We hardly can make out that there is a man in the background, in the darkness.

  • Standing proud on his little bike, this little boy seems to have a lot of love in his life. The little heart shape in the background is a nice detail in this image. Light and composition work well in the photo, and tonality of white, black and many shades of grey in between are very well executed.

  • A field of pumpkins, could it be Halloween? Seems like a lovely autumn day in the late afternoon soon, and this little girl posing in the middle of all those pumpkins. The colours in the image are vivid - green and orange complementing each other nicely .
