  • Great image, really love this for so many reasons, the lighting, angle, depth and the tones in this. The balance is just right and I think a lot of thought has gone into this shot. Well done!

  • Thanks to the jury and Tim, for the Mark of Excellence an the 2nd Place. This 1959 Chevrolet Apache Stepside was shot with a Canon EOS 6D and the 35mm 1.4L II. I took several shots with flashlights mixed togehter with the available light of this cool Location to create this Scene.

  • Great capture and the lighting really makes this. The balance is good and for me personally I wonder if it would have been also good to shoot the foreground car a little more straight on as an option. The use of lighting is really well executed and the post edit to bring the scene together also very well done.

  • Its hard to pout my finger on why I love this so much, the simplicity, the colour tones, the feeling that I can sense a story behind it. All in all I wanted this to be recognised because for me it really works and its testament that sometimes just keeping things simple really works. Well done

  • I took this shot with my Canon EOS Rebel T3i, 54mm, 1/800sec, f/5.6. I live in a small midwest farming community in northern Illinois. I was following the old car through town at speeds of 15 mph so I grabbed my camera that is always with me and with the help of steering with my knee I took the shot. I am a photographer, Vicky Enyeart, out in farm country with a small studio on the farm in a red barn. Thank you so much for the 'Mark of Excellence'!

  • I love this. I really like the lighting and the post edit work to bring it all together. It feels a little like its off the straight though but that just could be me. All credit for a great shot that has been planned out and really works very well. Good subject, great light.

  • Thank you for the honor Tim. I'm Sarel van Staden from South Africa. I used a LED light wand to "paint" this pickup truck with light.

  • Love this scene, the balance, the colour and the sheer scale to it. All the elements are there and they all pull together to create this overall image that really stands out. Great work and all credit to the photographer

  • I wanted to credit this because its a very dynamic image and one that technically would not be that easy to pull off. Good use of space and the fact that the photographer has opted to try and include two cars is daring as this is not the first obvious option as most would just go for one. All credit to the photographer on this capture

  • This shot was also taken in Switzerland. It is not a classic rig shot. In this case I used Virtual rig and Photoshop. I took the picture with the Nikon D800 in combination with a Nikkor AF-S 24-70mm 2.8G ED, which I used most of the time. And then I spend many hours in Photoshop to match all things perfectly.

  • Automotive detail work is never simple and the front light cluster is probably one of the hardest area's on a car to shoot so all credit to the photographer here for this image. Really love the colour tones and the lighting is really smooth and sculptured at the same time. Great work

  • Great image and in many ways shot in very difficult lighting I suspect. The balance is good and works well with the car and placement. I might have liked to have seen a little more light into the car but thats personal taste. A difficult scene to shoot well and this is a great effort so very well done

  • Thanks also here for the very interesting and nice words. The location is a beautiful place in Switzerland (near Zurich) called Sulzer Areal. For the shooting I took a Nikon D800, a Nikkor AF-S 24-70mm 2.8G ED and a Jinbei porty. The postproduction was done in Photoshop. Curves, colorbalances and the whole stuff. :) Like the most of my final images, I used also here several exposures.
