  • As simple as it is.....it could be a sequence from a fairytale, could be her best friend, could be her greatest fear.....

  • Wow, how amazing! I feel very honored that my photograph was chosen out of so many great entries. Thank you so much! My name is Andrea Klann, I am an Atlanta based photographer and in this image I captured a moment of my one-year-old daughter and her dog spending time together in the cul-de-sac in front of our house. The shadowy scene which the winter sun created reminded me of the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood and I just had to release the shutter. The picture was taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM. Post processing was done in Capture One and Adobe Photoshop CS6.

  • Thank you for the Mark Of Excellence! I feel honored. Congratulations to the other participants also - some really good street photos among the finalists. I’m an amateur photographer living on a peninsula south of Oslo. This photo was taken on the way home from the capital. The shadow in the umbrella was created by the headlights on the ferry. The photo is converted to black and white in Photoshop. I used my Fujifilm X100T (1/4; f/2.8; ISO 800). Thanks again!

  • My name is Bill Bullard, and I am a photographer living and working in New York City. I made this photograph on the Brooklyn Bridge in the fall of 2013, shooting at and through the protective shroud they drop between the workers painting the steel and the pedestrians passing by. I was using a Nikon 800E with a Zeiss Distagon f/1.7 35mm lens. Post-processing was done in Bridge and Photoshop CC (but no textures or filters were added!).

  • My name is F.D. Walker and I am a traveling photographer and blog writer currently living in Istanbul, Turkey. For this photo, I was walking around the Fatih district of Istanbul and saw this women washing her hands outside a mosque. The sunlight was creating a great shadow next her black clothing so I got up close and took a few photos until I got this one. I was using my Leica M9 with a 35mm summilux lens and post-processing was done in Lightroom. Thank you for the Mark of Excellence!
