- I really don´t know what to say, I´m really surprised by this result, there are so many great photos...really thank you. My name is Richard Kubica and I´m from Slovakia. I specialized in the macro photography. Dragonfly are my favourite spieces in macroworld. This photo was taken with Canon EOS 600D and lens was Canon 100/2,8 macro USM with Raynox DCR-250. Iused these setting on camera: ISO: 100, F/10, 1/100s. It is composed from 5 photos stacked in photoshop cs4. I have used simply modification like contrast, tones and sharpness at the end. This photo was taken in little lake near village in Jablonka (SLOVAKIA) about 5:30am. I was really surprised fort the first place. Thank you again .

The photo shows the "Southern Festoon" or "Zerynthia polyxena" in front of some dewdrops and a yellow spurge. This endagered butterfly can be found in south/-east europe but only locally. - Thank you very much for the Mark of Excellence! I feel really honored :) Acutally that is a stack of 77 Images which I blended with helicon focus and about 2-3 hours manual work in Photoshop, because she was waking up during the shooting which caused some blurry feelers. Had to fix that manually. The yellow flower is a dandelion ;) wish you a nice week!
