This is a stunning, crispy clear shot, where the bears’ eye contact is quite fearsome. Wonderful and wild, well done.

Ph. Marco Poggioni. The picture was shot along the shore of the Kurile Lake in Kamchatka. Fights between bears are frequent: young males face each other and blood is almost never spread. However, the clashes are impressive, also because there is no hide and the bears are only a few meters from the photographer. Nikon D3S with Nikon 200-400mm f4 lens.
