Dying tree in a forlorn place… It is a good crop which adds to the composition and nicely delivered foggy atmosphere. Well done.

Thanks for appreciating my picture. My name is Etienne Edberg and I live in southern Sweden. The photo is from the highlands of western Madeira. Looks like a wasteland, but actually it is an open space in area dominated by laurel forest and wooded pasture. A slightly different angle would show more trees and some cattle. As often is the case in the mountains of Madeira bright sunshine frequently alternates with drifting mists, which makes for interesting photography. I used a Leica V-LUX. Hardly any post processing except some cropping and slight adjustment of contrast.
