Shelter Pets Project - Image taken at Union County Animal Protection Society (UCAPS) using my Canon 5D Mark II and 50mm lens. Processing involved adding texture to the background for a more painterly look. This regal beauty is Midnight. She's a 5 year old Rottweiler mix that has been at the shelter for over three years. It was extremely moving to see such a beautiful dog, always overlooked, proudly wearing such a fabulous design. The stunning headdress was donated by New York designer Joan Marentis Kelly for Cosmik Souls Handcrafted Jewelry and Couture Accessories.
