Simple and effective photograph of the textures around us that few of us notice every day. Processed so it could almost look like a stone landscape. Brilliant!

Image by Peter Hewitt (freelance, fine art, nature photographer). This Agave attenuata is native to the plateau of the State of Jalisco in central Mexico. Sometimes it is also called the "Lion's Tail Plant", “The Swan’s Neck Plant,” or “The Foxtail Plant” due to its unusual curved stem. The equipment and exposure settings used were: Canon 5D Mark III camera, EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens, manually exposed for 0.7 sec. at f/22 using a 70mm focal length.
