let me first say that this has probably been the most difficult I Shot It Dog Photo Competition to judge thus far. EVERY photo in these top ten is a winner, and there is simply no way to rank them in any way. they are ALL winners.
another instant favorite, this image is such a great study of this striking black dog. black on black is always a wonderful and strong statement, and this is not only a great capture, but has been handled extremely well in post. my only recommendation would be to do a little cloning or use the spot healing tool to clean up some of the dandruff on the dog's neck and chest; once it is seen, i find that my eye always goes there instead of the incredible eye. but a superb job!! ~ illona
