Very interesting shot and I love the overall feel. The lighting of the tree and attention to detail are great and you should take full credit for those. A very different sort of image with plenty of space that is to be proud of.

Thank you for the honours Tim. We were busy with a commercial shoot for a client (The AniGang Project) on a game farm in South Africa when, to our delight, a typical African thunderstorm approached. We quickly moved the car closer to the tree to create a balance between the car, the tree and the storm. The foreground and tree were painted with a DIY light-wand, which enables me to paint with very soft even light and virtually no hot spots on the car. The slow shutterspeed ensured that the lightening was also captured. NIKON D700, 20mm lens, f8 200ISO at 30s.
