Judges Comment

Both the low camera angle and placement in close proximity to the subject really help to engage the viewer and make them feel like they are inside of the image. Such a different viewpoint can often revitalize an old idea by bringing literally a new perspective.

Photographers Comment

This was captured through a 28mm f/2.8 Elmarit-M mounted on a Leica M8 about 6 years ago whilst sitting on my bike waiting at a set of traffic lights on Østerbrogade, Copenhagen. At that time I did a lot of street photography whilst cycling which enabled me to cover a lot of ground and get some interesting shots! Very little post processing other than b/w conversion via Silver Efex Pro.
