Great image and one that I spent a few minutes studying as a selected capture for this competition. I love the fact that its looking at the subject in a different way, keeping the scene simple yet inviting the viewer to form their own opinions at the same time. A great image and well executed, well done!

Thanks again for another Mark of Excellence for this image. This was taken from an elevated subway line and I had my Nikon D700 and my Nikkor 45mm PC-E lens with me. As my luck would have it, the train that I was riding on came to a brief stop directly above the taxi depot (in Long Island City, NY). This afforded me just enough time to adjust my tilt and focus settings on the PC-E lens (f2.8 with 8* of tilt). I took this shot through the door window of the train. Very little post processing.

All the yellow cabs are so New York! Nice angle and composition. Is it real or is this photo taken from a model scene? Would work very well as a large wall print also.

Thank you for the Mark of Excellence. My name is Dave and I've lived in New York City for 36 years. This photo was taken from an elevated subway line and I had my Nikon D700 and my Nikkor 45mm PC-E tilt/shift lens with me. As my luck would have it, the train came to a stop directly above the taxi depot (in Long Island City, Queens) affording me just enough time to adjust my tilt and focus settings on the PC-E lens which are all manual (f2.8 with 8 degrees of tilt). Very little post processing.
