  • The space in this photograph and the timing that allows it are simply perfect. Work and play down on the ghats in a minimalist world of light and water. You have worked so hard on the composition, giving us so much to look at, the reflection just doubles the finesse of your approach. This is out of the top drawer, a stunning and harmonious photograph oozing peace and tranquility. A worthy winner indeed.

  • Thank you so much - especially for the kind and detailed commentary, which is not taken for granted these days! To be honest, I have little left to say here.*smile* As a persistent travel photographer with focus on Asian culture- and biodiversity (a subject that now demands a certain idealism), I am seldom fixed or at home. The frame - shot at a Dhobi Ghat in Benares, India - is one of my alltime favs and an example of my many impressions of India, which only revealed its beauty and effect much later. (35mm @ f8 via Canon FF, moderate post) I thank the jury from the bottom of my heart (also for another 3 Mark Of Excellence) and would like to express my kind respect to everyone who has been honored here. All the best from Germany, Wolf

  • Here is such a wonderful, colourful and happy photograph despite the lashing rain. You have caught a lovely scene with a real feel of reality. We all know this situation, clothes soaked through as we splash through the downpour, laughing at the hopelessness of our predicament. Well done, it was close!

  • A very clever exposure time has ridden your photo of so many bodies, leaving just feet behind, and of course that one static figure. Great vision, well done!

  • Thank you for the recognition. I shot this photo with a Nikon Z50 on the bike path at Santa Monica Beach in California. I was taking photos in a different direction when I caught the lights of the bicycle out of the corner of my eye and I turned around and panned this shot at a 1/2 second shutter speed. I am a retired photo enthusiast from Santa Monica, CA that normally shoots landscapes. I love the colors and vibrance of this one.

  • Splash splash. The motion you have seized makes this so special, we can almost hear the splashing underfoot, the texture of the water and the complimentary colour tones are just beautiful. Well done.

  • This is an extraordinary image which could be read in so many different ways. The child’s balloon so perfectly placed to hide the only face which could be visible. Street photography is all about catching an unsuspected instant in our daily lives, and sometimes the ingredients of a photo mix together in such a unique way that they tell a story. This certainly is the case here.
