- This is a most original and exceptional photograph shot into a strong source of backlight. The resulting white contours are striking, drawing a complete outline of these two roedeer. The shapes created are individual, graphic, and make a pleasing minimal composition, the male and female contours completing the symmetry. Outstanding work, congratulations you win this round.

- Thank you so much for choosing my photo for winning this contest and a wonderful comment! The story behind this shot : I've the chance to lead every year groups in Hungary. This picture is taken during a nigth of this trip. A huge backlight was used. There is nearly no post processing : just more contrast and little cropping (less than 10%).

- Great action shot of these ground squirrels which could only be knocked from the first place by an exceptional image. Beautiful and precise work and no doubt the fruit of a huge effort. Very well done.

- Here is a very original shot of a lizard on the spiky trunk of a Silk Floss tree, which resembles the scaly back of some long lost dinosaur. Well spotted and nicely framed, I think you have turned the picture on its side, adding to the dinosaur effect. Well done (once again).

- This is such a lovely photograph which stirs up memories of Beatrix Potter’s endearing characters. Everything is just perfect, beautiful rabbit, rose hips and tones…

- Beautiful soft light, which seems oddly to be coming from both sides! I guess this is a mirrored combination of two photos blended together. This doubles up the family size and makes the nice symmetry. Clever post production, well done.

- Thank you so much for choosing my photo for mark of excellence and a wonderful comment! The story behind this shot is that this adorable family (all six members) live in the zoo in Zagreb and in the afternoon, when it becomes a bit colder - they cuddle up together under a heat lamp that shines this lovely soft light. I was waiting until closing to take this shot. They are one of my favourite animals and subjects of many of my photographs.

- Angela Poggioni - "On the Road" -This photo was taken in West Yellowstone, Montana, United States. As I was in the car exploring the area, a female Bear with two cubs came down to the road from the forest. I started to follow the adorable family on foot. After almost two hours finally Mother Bear found an entrance in the forest. Luckily no cars came from the opposite direction and the family made it safely into the woods. This unfortunately is not uncommon. Several bears over the years have not been as lucky. I used Nikon D500.

- You have caught a very fearsome looking snake, indeed he seems to have you in his sights ! The ground level angle is most effective, well done.
