  • Thank you for selecting my photo as the winner this round! This was taken down at a beach in South New Jersey. This fox was wandering around at sunset and I set up my wide my angle on my Canon 7D camera and caught him coming down the hill. It is also cropped in some. But the sky and light of the setting sun was very pretty on this evening.

  • I am pretty sure this is a roe deer with his new velvet covered antlers. The back lighting is extraordinary and gives this photograph sharp highlights. The moon makes it extra special. Beautiful well done.

  • It is the light that does it and squirrel’s tale certainly has soaked up plenty of that. Sweet photo, well done.

  • Well it does look as though this cheetah has his eye on a prey, the distant antelope looks on mockingly. Lovely opportunity, well taken.

  • Well we don’t see many koalas on here so this was refreshing. Nice shot, he looks very happy amongst all those eucalyptus leaves. Cuteness brings you through :-)

  • Rather you than me! Well done for keeping your nerve and your finger on the button. You have made a fearsome photo of this hammer head, the black and white adds to that. The diver in the background helps us feel the reality and get in there with you.

  • Thank you so much for the Mark of Excellence. This was taken in Lord Stirling Park in central New Jersey. I was on one of the farther out trails of the park when I spotted this guy. It was a quiet day and luckily I was able to move slow enough where I could lay down on the boardwalk trail, getting as close to his level as possible, without scaring him away. The frog's patience allowed me to get off a few shots, adjust my settings and take a bunch more. Any post processing adjustments are extremely minor. This was taken using a Nikon D750.
