  • Looking at this photograph gives a warm feeling and makes the mind travel far. Dominated by the colour green, with little bits of pink, yellow and purple, we have a wonderfully balanced image here which makes the observer almost smell the scent of these flowers.

  • This photo has the feeling of soulful poetry. It is well composed and the tint of sepia brings us into the past. The ladybug is a lovely detail in it.

  • Some flowers can be captured well in black and white. The photographer of this image did it well and found a good motive and balance.

  • The unusual angle, of how the bouquet of flowers is arranged and stands out of the vase make this a very special photo. This image is beautifully executed.

  • A strong contrast in colour and the softened background works really well here. The light is beautiful and the little water drops on the lily flower give nice context.

  • Showing these flowers with a narrow depths of field is a great way to present. The darkened background makes the flowers pop out more and gives a good focus to our eye.

  • Ian Gledhill, Northeast Thailand.Sony a 6000 at 1/200 sec; f5.6 iso 400 135mm. Stunning sunlight on these wild Thai flowers found in grassy undergrowth made an eye-catching B &W nature at it's best capture. Thanks so much for the mark of excellence.

  • This is a lovely still life photo which refers to years in the past. Capturing a dying sunflower with this old camera and book combines the objects and the subject well together.
