- This is such a simple yet truly stellar image. The tones are soft, yet there is great contrast; the angle is intriguing; and the texture of the mane against the hide, accentuated by contrast of tones and light, are captivating. I love that you have a hint of background in the top left corner and haven't chose to make this pure black ... it gives an added depth to the overall image. Wonderful photo, and superb management in post. Well done and congrats! ~ illona

- The strong black-and-white conversion along with the unusual angle make this image truly stand out. The variety of textures - the fabulously braided mane, the soft ears, the speckled hide, leather reins, stick and fabric of the rider's jacket -- all work together invite us to see more upon each viewing of this fabulous image. - This is an absolutely stunning image. The separation of this horse from the landscape is perfect ... the soft backdrop and the rich tones and shadows of the horse with his windblown mane and tail. The hazy landscape and the stirred up dust makes the viewer imagine the rest of the mustang herd running ahead of him, while this stallion pauses to look at the photographer. Beautifully captured and managed in post! ~ illona

- This is such a wonderful and tranquil image ... an intimate moment between two draft horses captured and framed in a lovely setting. Beautiful contrast between the white horses and the richer backdrop. Nicely done. ~ illona

- This is a lovely image and the conversion to black and white offers some wonderful contrasts even though the overall image is soft. The use of light is fabulous, and the variety of textures and lines bring us back to discover more each time. I do find the 'post' a little distracting over the horse's leg and would suggest an edit to remove this post in order to make this image a truly standout piece. Nicely done. ~ illona

- What a fabulous and stunning action capture -- the athleticism of the horse, the tossed mane, the sprayed water -- all coming together in a show of beauty and power. The limited palette of colors allows the horse to almost surge off the image, making it an unforgettable image. Well done! ~ illona
