- What an incredible image. The minimal elements of this image and the soft tones allow the detail on this cat's upward gaze and its large eyes to become the singular focus of this image. Completely memorable and expertly captured and managed in post. Congrats! ~ illona

- This photo of my neighbour's cat was taken from a balcony window in 2013 with Nikon D90. I was lucky enough to witness and capture this harmony of colour and composition. Though for me art means hard work and suffering :D, I am really glad you noticed this picture, cause sometimes photography is just about being in the right place at the right time with a camera nearby ;) I would also like to mention that my favourite pic in this competition is Entry Number 28. It is a storytelling photo, a shadow theatre, and I love it.

The almost monotone quality of the image and expert white-balance, along with the centered framing and shallow depth of field, draw the viewer in to take in all of the amazing details of this stunning kitten. - Thank you for your kind words! This is truly "a cat being a cat" getting into a box just for the sake of sitting there for a while. The picture was taken in 2011 with Nikon D90.
