It is so difficult keeping things simple, photographing only the essential, composing with only shapes and lines. You have managed this view beautifully, it is perfectly weighted, original, minimal and lovely. It was a close call, well done.

Thank you for the award! My name is Guenther and I am from Austria. I took this shot this spring in Southern Moravia, Czech Republic. The lines and structures certainly caught my eye here, but the colored version was a little dull. So I made the conversion to monochrom and the result was a lot better. For this shot I used my 70-200 telephoto lens on my Nikon D610. Postprocessing was done in LR and Silver Efex Pro.

I love the mystery here and the footprints which bring a story to these soft tones, to the monochrome and the lovely dark weather.

My name is Albert Strauch, living in the south of Germany, and I'm very happy to get this mark of excellence. I shot this picture in the year 1980 on the "Schwäbische Alb" in Germany with my Nikon FE2. The foto was digitized with a dia scanner, not any post-processing has been performed.

This is a striking shot, divided into graphic parts by your telephoto lens. The movement of the water accentuates the contours of the trees. It is an amazing waterfall and a beautiful picture.

Your composition is fascinating and so very precise. The blend of nature and broken fencing is intriguing. This might have climbed a few places with a little less colour saturation.

Got to say Thanks for Mark of Excellence. My Name is Gustavo and I took this Photo In Late March of 2017, So. Cal had a Wet Winter for our standards, and took this in North Malibu, at Nicholas Canyon State Beach (aka Zero's) early morning, before a surf. The hillsides were just beaming with wildflower's.To my eye this is how I saw it and needed to add a little saturation to bring it back.My Little Sony RX10 M2 just could not reproduce the those colors. 1/320s @f8.8 100iso , software used Light Room and Nik software HDR EFX Pro.The other thing not seen is a power pole that disturbs this wonderful view.
