  • Thank you to all the participants who loved this picture. It was shot in Bhadra Reservior located in Karnataka, India. I was using Canon 7d Mark II + Canon 500mm I which together is quite heavy. Anticipating the raptor to fly, i had locked the focus and waiting for it to fly and finally when it did, i did not hesitate to click the shutter button down. Due to overcast day, i had to retouch on the brightness and bring the original colors out. - Vinod Kulkarni

  • I'm Linda Persson from Sweden. It's photographed in my home town on the coldest day in 2016. I was surprised the camera held up but I'm happy it did. I shot it with a Nikon D7100, nikkor 24-70mm and turned it into HDR in Photoshop. I'm honored so many people voted on it. Thank you!

      • Linda Persson from Sweden here. :-) This is a sooc photo. I remember getting out early that fall morning to photograph the mist. This was the last shot I took and it was pretty much in the middle of my step. Nothing well planned. It was just the wonderful light and colors I was after. More luck than skills to be honest. Nikon d7100, the lens was probably my 18-105mm at that time. An excellent kit lens, really! No post processing. Thank you kindly for all the votes it received!

        • Lago di Braies, Southern Tyrol, Italy. A very popular spot, I was hoping to get a nice reflection this morning, but the wind was too strong. So I decided to make a long exposure shot instead. Shot with a Nikon D610 and 16-35 f4 wide-angle lens.
