  • The winning photographer of this flower competition submitted such a wonderful image, of what I think is a field of tulips. The bright yellow and orange, complimented by their dark stems give a dramatic feel to this photo. Congratulations to the winner of this competition!

  • Matthew Charles here. This was taken in the Spring of 2017 in front of the Montrose Beach in Chicago, Illinois. When I got down on the ground I found that the ground was a little wet, but in hindsight it was well worth it. Taken with a Cannon EOS Rebel T2i. 18-55 mm, Which is currently in for repairs. I do not have a website, but maybe I should think about that.

  • Just like in the movies! This photograph is cinematic and beautifully executed. My first impression was that this is a B&W image, but looking at it again, I can see a little colour. Definitely one of our favorites in this competition.

  • Beautifully executed with a dreamy feel to it, this is what comes to mind when observing this photo. What I see makes me wonder if this photo was shot through a window, or maybe filters were applied in post-production? Well done to the artist behind this photo!

  • One of the stunning elements of this image is, how the narrow depth of field was chosen for this photo. The composition here is also well seen, and done. Also the soft colours and the evening sunlight make this a wonderful photograph.

  • How the light breaks the little water drops is strikingly captured in this image. And how the blossoms are set off the grey background gives this image a nice definition.

  • The composition of the two tulips in the photograph is superb. Slightly off-centered with a symmetry in between these two flowers. The B&W execution gives a dark feel to this photo, which makes it mysterious.

  • Thank You so very much for Your recognition of my tulip image :) I am a hobby nature photographer from Denmark. I chose to change the image into B/W in this edition, but it is as beautiful in colours. Just a tiny bit of processing in RAW converter and Photoshop CC. The picture was taken in my garden with a Canon 7D and my much beloved Canon 300 2,8 II

  • ‘Blowing in the wind’ comes to mind. Lovely motion being captured here, with a lightness and airiness. How fragile these unusual flowers are, and at the same time they show character and strength.

  • My name is Massimiliano Tavella and I live in Verona, Italy. Thank you for your recognition of which I am very proud of it. I'm not a professional photographer but a simple amateur. The shot was made with a Nikon d800 iso 100 50 mm 1 / 320s and in PP I worked with Photoshop CC

  • Beautiful and abstract, just enough information to see, that this is a picture of a flower. A little less shown, would not be enough - a little more - might would be too much information to keep the photo strong. A wonderful capture this is!

  • Thanks so much for the recognition of this shot. I'm Reiner, an amateur photographer, living in Germany. Here I tried to find a different view of the crosusses in my garden. Taken with my Canon 7DII and a Tamron 90mm Macro. Lightroom was used, especially for increasing contrast.

  • What strikes me immediately in this photo is the light with shadow behind the actual still-life arranged. Truly well composed and beautiful captured.

  • Here we got a bit a bit of an unusual angle, photographed from below. The red and green compliment each other nicely, making this an attractive composition.
