- In a competition with SO many wonderful and skillfully captured images, it can be difficult to stand out, however, this black and white photo does just that. From the composition to the strong tonal rendering, the captured environment and the still dog, incredible contrast to a perfect shutter speed to capture the falling rain ... everything in this image works. - This skilled black-and-white portrait of a wonderful bull terrier is an instant fave. The shallow depth of field allows this lovely dog in her relaxed pose to truly stand out in the environment, and the clump of grass in the foreground makes us feel as though we are sneaking a peek into her private moment. Nicely done! ~ illona

- Thank you very much for your kind words Ilona! This cutie is named Bailey and she is enjoying the warming sunrays at a very cold and beautiful winter's day. I took this photo with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III and the 70-200mm 2.8L lens. Post production was done as always with Lightroom & some minor corrections in Photoshop.
