  • A good sense for taking the picture at the right time. Dynamic, lively, great black and white contrasts, lovely tones and a good mood. The girl is in the center of the focus and builds somehow the complete story and composition. The boy, in action supports this scene in a great way and makes it even more lively and special. She brings calmness into this picture. It is a play of opposites somehow. Also the surrounding supports this scene in a fabulous way! Congrats to the winner of this I-Shot-It Child competition!!

  • Thanks for choosing my photo for a „Mark of excellence“. And congratulation to the winner and the runnerups. Indeed, the two boys are brothers. Two of my sons playing at the street. While taking test-photos with my rediscovered old Tamron MF zoom 2,8 / 35-105mm the older boy shows a spontaneous affection to the younger one. So I had the luck to take a nice photo. • On a ride up the California coast, I stopped in Oxnard for lunch. I was a motorcycle enthusiast at the time and ran into a fellow in the restaurant who also rode. I side tracked a bit to his home to have a look at his Harley, and this young girl was playing next door. Nikon F, 105mm lens. Tri-X developed in D-76 1:1. Original print on Agfa Brovira.
