  • Your pictures transfers a lot of emotions! An intimate beautiful moment in black and white. The boy seem to look into the camera but I think he is lost in thoughts. The composition is great and underlines your photo in a good way. The main focus is on the hand of the mother- protective. Thanks for sharing this beautiful moment with us and congrats to the first price of this I-Shot-It Child Competition!

  • Thank you very much for the Mark of Excellence! My name is Paul Bucknall. I took this image on a trip to Havana, unfortunately the property the image was taken in has now been demolished. The camera used to take the image was a Nikon D4 with 24-70 F2.8 lens with an ISO of 1250 giving the photograph a gritty feel.

  • This photo looks like a fairytale far far away. Mysterious and dreamy. A blurry frozen moment. Well done!

  • I appreciate the recognition for this photo. This shot of my then 2 1/2 yr old son is from Budapest. This was one of my favorite photos from that summer (2016). Sony A6000 and probably the kit 18-50mm lens. I hadn't yet moved beyond the kit at that point. Now I only shoot with an assortment of primes.

  • A little boy in a big basket. He looks directly into the camera. I really like the reduction and the way he looks. There is a connection between the observer and the child.

  • Thank you for this Mark of Excellence. My name is Cole Davis I am a street and documentary photographer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I shot this photograph on a Sony A7rII and processed the color in Lightroom. I noticed this boy who was afraid to run into the water, as if it hurt, and yet still ran through it over and over again. The photograph was a nice gift, and so is this award. Thank you very much for the honor.

  • A everyday scene in a modern look. The way you did the postproduction transfers this scene into a cool look. I like the expression of both too.

  • A well observed street scene! The three boys might think about the woman's life.

  • My name is Lorenzo Lopez Lumeras. Grateful to the judges. This photo was taken in the most crowded and famous street of Madrid, the "gran via". The children are staring at the homeless woman and wondering about the scene, from the window of a mcDonalds. The difficulty of taking this photograph is avoiding people passing by so I had to be very quick to catch this instant. It was shot with a canon G 16 powershot camera. As it was a RAW shot, I made some adjusts in order to get a natural and real image. Color temperature, high lights and shadows were corrected. The photographer can be seen reflected in the moment of the shot. I darkened some reflections of the window not to disturb the main points: the woman and the children.

  • Thank you so much! My name is Jason and this was shot in my Aunt's home in Texas this year. This was shot with a Canon t3i with a new Canon 24mm pancake lens I just purchased. I was shooting that boys' newborn sister in the other room and we all just sat down to visit and he and his cousin behind him were having so much fun I thought I better get these! These are both my little cousins in the capture. Congratulations to all the winners in this category. Really great work!
