- Wow, what a surprise! My name is Perdita Petzl. I am an amateur nature photographer based in Austria, Vienna. This image shows a very rare and wild European Ground Squirrel (Spermophilus) reaching out for it’s fluffy breakfast. Unfortunately, in Austria these rodents are critically endangered – because of the loss of their habitats. Ground Squirrels are always searching for food because they have to build up fat reserves before hibernation. After waiting for some hours, I captured this photo lying flat on the ground. I used a beanbag. Only basic post processing in LR, no Photoshop. Canon 5D Mark III Canon EF300mm f/2.8L IS USM + Canon 1.4x Tele Converter ƒ/5 1/800s ISO 320

- I'm Phil Green and I live on the East Yorkshire Coast in the UK, this image was shot with a canon 5d mk3 and EF 17-40mm f/4L USM, This is another image from Hornsea Beach I just loved the way the backwash was being diverted by the pebbles and used a shutter speed of 2.5 seconds and the apperture at f/13 with a two stop neutral density filter
