  • First a big thanks to my favorite photographer, I'm very proud to be given this honor of beeing winner for my first time since I started 4 years ago from scratch like many of us...looking forward to see your next tutorial on Kelby one!!!! This prize arrive at a very special moment in my life where I needed the most... Hi my name is Dave Paquet, a french photographer not from Paris but from Québec City now living in Montréal. The combination of camera and lens I use is a D610 from Nikon and a very slow but efficient 24-70 from Tokina that I love very much, most of the time on tripod to get the lowest ISO possible. This picture is one of the first few composite I ever try, three different shot were use to create it, the car I spotted in a car show the background and the foreground.

Two layers compose this image, this beautiful door I found in downtown, Montréal while visiting, and the bike, this beautiful RS100 revampired by the coolest guy near me. I usualy never use Lightrroom for my editing, but I learned a lot of things for this image...and in the future Lightroom will be a new part of me. Again thanks a lot beeing judge by is favorite photographer is already a big thing for me!!!! Carry on your great work and inspired the world of photography!!!!

  • Love the lighting on this shot. Great bike and great lighting in this scene. I am actually not that keen on the people in the background and would have preferred just the bike but I realise they may have needed to be there. Great image and really good lighting, well done!

  • I really love this, its such a simple and yet such a great image. The positioning and deep red of the car against the scene all work so well. Very original and a worthy shot to be included in my final selection Very well done!

  • First of all thank you so much for the selection! Really appreciate it. This shot was taken from the top floor of a parking garage (obviously) in downtown Chicago. I wanted to wait until I got a red car to give it the pop I thought it needed. I wish I could thank whoever was driving because it wasn't TOO long of a wait. This was shot with a Sony a7rii and Sony G-Master 24-70 f2.8 lens. Processed entirely in Lightroom - just some adjustments to bring some blue into the shadows and center the focus of the light on the curve of the ramp. My work can be found via the link below and on Instagram at @mmeyers76. Thank you again so much for the huge honor!

  • Very bold colour and a really good shot. I like the lower depth of field and the possible addition of some lighting in the front end. Good to see also that the photographer has not attempted to get rid of all the reflections, i think this can spoil this type of shot. Maybe next time try giving the car a little more space in the frame if possible. Well done!

  • Love this image, great positioning, great low angle and the scene is well put together. I might have liked to see it a little brighter and a little less processed, that said I still really love this and well done!

  • I'm Jeffrey Eatley from Lafayette, Louisiana and live to photograph anything. I was able to to connect with this mustang car on short notice when they brought in multiple wars birds for the public to see. The image was created at a New Iberia, Louisiana airport. Created with a Nikon D610 and a 85mm 1.8 lens. Setting I believe we're 100 ISO F/11 at 600sec shutter. There was a good bit of photoshop to remove unwanted background items. Shoot took place at 11am.
