  • Congratulations on being this rounds winner Great capture and really like this shot. It is also great to see more bike work coming through now. I really like the shooting angle and height on this shot mixed with the positioning and attention to the detail in the background. The lighting is not too overwhelming and works really well with the ambient light base. Well done!

  • Great capture and I love the staging of this. The fact that it has not been over lit and has been given the space I think really works well and the shadows give a sense of drama. I classic example of good position and resisting the urge to move in too close and push in too much light. Great work

  • Some string work coming through on these competitions and this is another example of that. Great staging, great light and the post edit warmth and attention to the light makes this a very strong image. Well done!

  • This is great and I really like this on so many levels. Great subject content, great lighting and the use of the lighting as well as a original idea. Its always great to see work coming through that has an original feel to it rather than just well executed work that is similar to what has been seen before. Really well done on a great and original piece of work.

  • This is a brilliant piece of work and its great to see more bike work coming through. The space around the subject makes the shot in my view here. The positioning, the lighting and the post edit on this all go to make it a very nice piece of work that somebody should be proud of. Great work.

  • This is a shot that I have seen a lot over the last few years, I believe first down by a friend of mine Easton however I must commend and include this in the results as it has to be recognised as a great piece of technical work with the water and the lighting. The shoot is well executed and the post edit work has been really well put together Well done!

  • Its a very different shot and thats great. It is not over complex and it sets a mood with the style and way in which it has been put together. Having a style of your own and being brave enough to try new things is the cornerstone of progressive photography so very happy to commend and include this piece of work.

  • Thanks for the kind words! My name is Winston Turner and I took this photograph of my bug on a cold rainy morning in the Grampians, Victoria, Australia. It was taken on a Leica M9, with a 50mm Summicron.

  • The competition is all about transport and any transport is included in that so very happy to see work like this coming through. It has a good feel to it and there is a story there that I feel i want to know more about. I think the choice to keep this mono was the right one and its a very good piece of work.

  • Simple shot with the addition of some mixed lighting Its a great position and its great to see people giving the subject some space. I am not sure that the foliage to the left is not a little distracting but its personal choice of course. Great capture

  • Love this shot, the positioning and the use of the environment to add to the shot are all done really well. It may have been good to give the car a small lift with some additional lighting but its subjective really if I am honest. Its often the case that people over light cars in static shots and that would have really ruined this so its a fine line indeed. Really nice colour work on this and post edit, great shot.

  • Thank you very much for honoring my shot. I'm Torsten Krebs from Germany near Frankfurt. The Shot was taken with a Leica S2 with Leica 45mm Elmarit in a car park which used to be an airship hangar in former times. The car park is in an business area so I've chosen a calm sunday with nearly no cars in the area for taking my shots. The lighing was done with two simple 300W studio flashes with an Bat Pac and one system flash. By the way my full equipment was transported in my car model - an 74er Mini Innocenti. So it's bigger than it looks ;) I fully agree to the lighting of the car. I tried to lighten it a bit up in post processing but for me it looked to artificial when it was lighter. So I decided to keep it more dark. Better way would have been to have it lighter directly during the shot but for that my equipment reached its limit.
