  • What a stunning image. The black-and-white conversion is so clean with deep blacks and crisp whites; the depth of field is absolutely gorgeous, the framing strong, and the subject so captivating. An instant fave. Nice job and congratulations! ~ illona

  • Thank you so much, it's a great honour for me. I took this picture in Bergen, Norway in 2015. I was walking through streets among lovely white houses and I've spotted this amazing cat staring at as through the window as he is the king of the neighbourhood. I took this picture with Canon 5D mark III and 35mm lens.

  • What a lovely image of this absolutely sweet Sphinx. The centered framing works well ... I almost wonder if a vertical framing (in camera) would have made a stronger composition, showing more of the unique lightbulb which has captivated the cat's attention. But a very sweet image. Nicely done. ~ illona

  • The strength in this image is the clean tones, the strong framing, and those eyes. One can imagine this cat is about to get a bath and isn't too pleased about it. Nicely seen, captured and managed in post. ~ illona

  • I took this at my grandma's house right before my dad shooed the cat, Sweetie, out of the sink. I used my Nikon D7000 with a 50 mm lens. Thanks to the judges for this recognition. Grandma will be excited to hear that her cat got a mark of excellence :)

  • Many thanks to the juris for this brand of excellence. This photo was my first picture taken with my Leica Q. I had just left the house and right next to it was this beautiful cat at the window to land with his eye of each color. Thank you again.

  • Thank you for the comments, and Mark Of Excellence award. This beautiful feral cat was discovered in my back yard last fall. She comes and calls me every morning through our sliding screen door. My name is James Markus, and I am a photographer in West Michigan. Camera was the Nikon D800 with the 300mm f4.0 afs Nikkor. I shoot RAW, process in ACR and Photoshop.
