  • Classic beauty and picture-making meets modern beauty and image-making in this extraordinary simple setting in a location that is usually chaos of people and activity to get to see this relatively small painting of Mona Lisa. We like the exclusive, isolated moment the couple have as the natural lead characters in this modern drama. This photograph has so many elements that just falls in place, from the tonality to the fact that the only faces you see, are the three main persons. It’s beautiful work, and it’s the winner of the I SHOT IT Black & White Competition. Congratulations.

  • "Selfie Lovers", Paris 2017. This photo was taken in the Louvre museum, this year. I was very surprised to see the number of people not even taking a look at the painting and preferring to take selfies. Sony AR7 II, 55mm. File processed in black and white with Lightroom, accentuation of contrast.

  • This is a frozen moment in time, you can see the future ambitions glow from the boy in the photo. He could be a famous sports player in a few years, or he could have forgotten everything about it.

  • My name is Jason Wessendorf from Verdigre, Nebraska. I generally take photos for the "mom and pop" newspaper my wife and I operate in our small town. The photo was taken with a Nikon 1 J5 with a 10-100 lens. Thank you very much for the mark of excellence and congratulations to the winner. The judges' comments were exactly what I was feeling when I took the photo. Will he play in the Little Leagues next year, fostering a lifelong love of the sport? Or, will he spend next summer at the swimming pool and forget the whole thing? The great thing about being young is that the possibilities are endless and everything is ahead.

  • A fun and captivating moment of such an unusual thing as kids not on a device, but all contributing to a creative moment. At least, that’s how it looks to us, and that’s the point. It’s a great moment.

  • While strolling a small town at the river Moselle, I stumbled upon this street scene. A quite surreal, strange, funny, touching moment to watch - and I couldn't resist to make a photo. • There is something very exotic about this photograph, the bees and the woman in white with the large hat. It’s hard to tell if it’s an old or new photograph.

  • The famous building in London seen from a new angle that shows a different layer of architecture and the history of city development. We guess, if you had never seen this building before, it could also look like somebody landed from another planet.

  • Relevant for our times, a man with his support material for Trump, or perhaps material to study to learn more about the then candidate. You wonder what the story is, and that’s what is interesting.

  • Steven Anselm Manhattan, New York - near Rockefeller Center I was a on video shoot when I saw this man on the sidewalk and knew I had to photograph him. Though perhaps tempted to make assumptions, we do not know his politics. Is he a scholar or a madman? Is he rational? Are we? All that can be known is he is a product of the times, looking for answers.
