  • In this photo we can see different emotions. It gives us one simple message - being on your own is not as much fun as being with a friend. This is human nature captured well in this moment.

  • Thank you very much! My name is Denis Malciu and I'm from Romania. I feel very honored that my photo was chosen as the winner of this competition, because street photography is my passion and I saw so many great entries in this edition. The picture was taken in Bucharest, in the subway, with my Sony A7s and a Zeiss Sonnar 35 mm f/2.8 lens.

  • This black-and-white photo makes me curious. What is the girl looking at in the distance. It's a natural expression and the photographer has captured it without imposing on the scene.

  • Thanks. I took this with a Leica Q in Glasgow a couple of months ago. I had to wait about 20 minutes to get the guy in just the right spot.

  • A slice of evening sunshine is lighting this dark city street view. The white stripes on the ground draws our eyes to this lucky person who has some brightness between the tall buildings.

  • We know what is in the sky even though we cannot see the birds. Did the dogs chase the birds? A very original street scene. Great capture!

  • What catches your eye first in this photo? People walking in opposite directions or the large box on the mans head? A complex scene that works well in this black-and-white street photo.

  • Hi, I'm Roman Tripler from Germany. This picture is taken in Barcelona with a Leica M9P and a 35mm Cron. It was a scene with only a few seconds to decide (how) to make that picture. Thanks and congrats to the other winners!

  • We love the girl in this photo with three birds balanced on her. The crowd behind don't seem to have noticed at all.

  • Thanks a lot for honoring my shot! It's a big pleasure to see it among the winners, especially because street photo is one of my favorite genres of photography. My name is Yuliya Boda, I took this shot in Marrakesh (Morocco) on a Canon 60D along with Canon 20mm f/2.8. I personally like this photo because of the variety of different actions taking place at the same time: this girl standing with the birds, two men posing for my camera just in the middle of the image, one more man on the left side of the photo looking at the woman... This shot is just one short episode of Marrakesh's fast-paced life :)

  • The motion blur makes this a dynamic scene and the light creates a wonderful abstract pattern.

  • Thank you so much for this recognition. I'm an enthusiast/surgeon/traveller and love all genres of photography. The Shibuya intersection is amazing and I was trying to capture something a little different than the usual photography of 2,000 people crossing every light change!! I used my Fuji XT2, 23mm F2 on continuous for this ... I'm pretty new to social media, but am at www.500px.com/dhuntersmith and instagram - d.h.s.photography

  • It's not a perfect reflection, but from each section we get an idea of what is happening under this roof. An original street photo.

  • We can see that this boy is mesmerised and enchanted by these birds in their cages. Perhaps he wishes to set them free, or take one home with him.

  • What an interesting photo. A variety of expressions at the same time. Something else must be going on behind the photographer and leaves different feelings in different generations.
