  • This photo was taken in a mixed forest area on a very hot summer day in june. While sitting in my hide I was able to capture this thirsty squirrel with a shutter-speed of 1/80s using a Canon 60D with a Canon 100-400 L lens. ISO: 1600, f/5.6, Manual Focus. Thanks everyone for voting ! :-) Greetings Julian

  • This image was shot using a Canon 5D Mark III. It is the curved exterior of a residential building in London, shot directly from below, looking straight up. The white lines are the edges of the balconies.

    • Mark Cornick London, Canon 6D, 24-70mmL Shot in the "More London" part of London, it is one of my favourite locations for making images. I decided to experiment in photoshop to add some motion blur to the image to give the image an abstract feeling. This image is part of a larger body of work called "Dystopian Disorder" https://www.markcornickphotography.co.uk/dystopiandisorder

      • A Winter of Love Bethesda Fountain Terrace in Central Park, New York City. Manual mode. ISO 400, f/8 First, thank you to everyone who voted. Tough competition here! Funny short story regarding this capture. A few of us wetter shooting the fountain through the arches and one of the photographers noted the red jacket on the male really popped in the grey/white background as he was walking up towards us. Little did we know behind him was either his girlfriend or wife. When she came around from behind him we asked them to stop and everybody started yelling kiss kiss kiss. The couple amused us for a few seconds and began an embrace. Crazier thing was the day before, it was nearly 65 degrees!!
