  • Congratulations to the winner of this child competition! The good and the evil? Or better the beauty and the beast? No better...the princess is going to have a good time with a superhero. I really like the idea behind this! It tells a story. I would love to know more about this scene! Looking forward! And congrats again!

  • Thank you so much! I am thrilled about this! My name is Ellen Goodman. This is a photo of my daughter and her friend shot last Halloween, just before trick or treating in St. Louis, MO, USA. My daughter (dressed as Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz") and I were getting ready to head to Grandmas for some early trick or treating and photos when my daughters friend pulled up on his motorcycle, dressed in this dark, ominous looking costume, "Dark Panther"; a stark contrast from Dorothy. A serendipitous moment that turned into one of my all time favorite photos. Shot on a Pentax 67ii on Ilford HP5+. Thank you once again, so much, and congrats to all, wonderful work in here!

  • Thank you! Im feel very honored! Im Oriano Nicolau From Spain. "Looking out" is the name of the picture. I was enjoying the weekend with the kids and they had a Little wood house to play and have fun. While they were playing a pirates game using the house as ship, one of them take a break and looked out the window. Lucky I was there with my camera and captured the moment. • A quiet moment. You only show, what is necessary to create an impressive picture. There is nothing in the background that irritates. A beautiful picture!

  • Hi, I'm Torsten Krebs from Germany. Normally I'm specialized in photographing cars and other vehicles. This shot was really a lucky one. When we went there the weather was perfect and the kids started building a real hughe ramp for their sleights. When the first ones passed the ramp it looked so cool that I was really sad not to have my camera with me. Luckily my girlfried had their Panasonic DMC-FZ300 with her. So I borrowed the cam, layed into the snow and shot this picture. Post processing was not very much. Just darkening the black areas and increasing vibrance and clarity a bit. Shot was taken with F/2.8, 1/1000s and ISO 100.

  • I am Kevin Van Sant, a professional jazz guitarist in North Carolina USA. I appreciate the recognition for this photo. There are so many great pictures of kids submitted in this competition every time! This was shot with a Sony a600 and the Sigma f1.4 30mm lens. My almost 3 year old son is my primary subject and the reason for my photography hobby. This pedestrian/bike tunnel is a favorite place of his and I've taken many pictures here. I really liked the way this one came out.

  • You have captured a scene that is hard for me to interpret. On the first sight it has a protective effect on me. But it also seems intriguing, increased through the strong black and white contrasts and her facial expression. However you would like to interpret this picture it attracts attention and tells a story!

  • Thank you so much for the award! I took this photo during my first trip to China and it happened so fast I was really lucky to be able to capture it. I actually have a whole sequence of the kid taking a booger out if his nose, looking at it and then starting to cry!! It's hilarious really. It is photos like this that remind me of why I love photography so much, it's the ability to make a moment that is gone in a second last a lifetime. Took this with a D7100 I had at the time and a Tamron 70-300mm VC. Congratulations to everyone else for the great entries!
