  • I had a few looks on this photo and I always cam back to it. Is this a defensive gesture? I don't think so. It exudes calmness and looks dreamy and playful. She is completely into her own world. The way she hold her hands is a nice frame also. Congratulations for this first place!

  • Hello, my name is Paul Kidero and I am based in Nairobi, Kenya. I used a Nikon D3200 paired with a 35mm f 1.8 lens for this shot. It was a kids social event at uhuru park in Nairobi, and this little girl was not used to having so many people around her, so she was really shy. Her eyes were what drew me to her, they were so striking! More of my work can be found on Instagram under the handle kidero_ag. Very humbled and honored to receive this Mark of excellence for sure!

  • Thank you i-shot-it, and I'm honored to receive this recognition. My name is Daniel Kwok. I am a father of two, and I take photos of my two daughters most of the time. For this shot, I was at a Chinese restaurant finishing up our lunch. My two daughters were too impatient to sit at the table, so I took them walking around the restaurant. We found this little alley that leads to the back door (next to the restroom entrance!). But I immediately fell in love with the light coming through the door and how the light reflected off the walls. It was taken with a Sony A6300 with a Touit 32mm lens.

  • A portrait of a boy carrying a baby goat. He looks directly to the observer. I really like the brown tones and the composition. Simple but really effective.

  • Thank you very much. The photos was taken in Rajasthan, India. The boy absolutely wanted to have a photo with the bady goat. I feel like he is holding the goat like it is the only precious thing he got. I feel he was a proud boy. https://www.instagram.com/lookaloopa/

  • Sweet and of course also technically well executed. The blurry background and the soft colors. Everything fits perfectly together.

  • Thank you for the mark of excellence. My name is Spyros and live in the UK. This was shot last December at my best friend's (the bride) wedding. This is the groom's youngest niece and she was intending to get hold of my camera.. I took plenty of shots in quick succession and this was the best. Shot with a Canon EOS 6D, 1/200, f4.0, ISO640.

  • A boy that has to fight his way trough life…with both fists. It is difficult to find the right words for this picture. Photographically it is really interesting. Something between Reportage- and Street Photography.

  • Hello. Thank you for the Mark of Excellence and for the kind words. I am Cristian, from Romania. I've took this photo with Sony a6000 and a Sony 24mm f/1.8 lens. After a few minor retouches on Camera Raw, I did the black&white conversion in Silver Efex Pro plugin. And yes, the boy really have a hard life.

  • So many toys and still not happy? Less is more :) I like this photo because it is outstanding to the others. The girl in the middle of all these toys and her facial expression tells a lot.

  • My niece was playing with all these toys, and as i approached her to capture this photo, she looked up at me with this concerned look and said to me, "Who's going to clean up this mess?" Shot with Canon 6D Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 Edit in Lightroom
