  • Very unique, truly one of a kind! Since being in charge of the I-Shot-It flower competition, this is the very first time that someone submits a photo of a frozen flower. Or something, that looks like a frozen flower. Congratulations, we are impressed! Very well seen and executed.

  • It's such a pleasure when your biggest passion gets awarded. Thanks so much for appreciating my photo “life in ice”. My name is Azim Mehdiyev. I'm an architect, designer from Azerbaijan. It is really a frozen flower and I was especially impressed by the green stamens inside the frozen flower. I shot this photo in Baku with Canon EOS 7D.

  • This is another one of our favourites. Such natural beauty. The photographer went low on the ground, to get the angle right. And he/she did it so very well. Great chosen depth of field.

  • Something truly special, how this flower was photographed. Sideways, from its profile. Also the colours are shining in this unusual capture, and how the light falls underlines its beauty and uniqueness.

  • My name is Debra Rote, from Oregon, IL. I took this picture knowing the light would be an interesting aspect of this picture, as the summer light at the end of the day would cast a shadow on this beautiful flower. I love nature and its natural beauty.

  • Wonderfully seen and executed is this image of a dandelion. Almost in B&W, or is there the touch of colour?

  • My name is Eli Cruz, from Fontana, California. I took this picture knowing that the sun behind it would make a lovely shadow effect, I didn't have my camera at the time and used a basic phone. You don't need a 1,000 dollar camera to take a Beautiful picture. Thank you so much!

  • Photographed from above, what a great angle to show those tulips! Red complimented by green, set on a black background. Well seen and executed.

  • Maybe apple tree blossoms? Not a lot of contrast, just enough - and a fantastic depth of field. Beautifully seen. Full of hope, one of our favourites!

  • This plant seems more exotic to many other submissions we get. Not sure what flower it is, and enjoying this photograph a lot.

  • Hi! My name is Toni Glover. I took this photo of a Milkweed in Hopwood, Pennsylvania, where I live. I take many walkabout's in my neighborhood. The camera I used that day was a Nikon D7100. I adjusted the clarity and black levels, and brought up the whites. I appreciate the judges comments and receiving the award. Toni P.S. My website is still under construction.

  • Lovely and almost abstract, only the petals give away that this is a flower. Great colours and angle. Has an appearance of an under-water capture.

  • This is a superb close-up. Not sure how much photoshop was used here, if any. Regardless, it is a great image for us to observe.
