Chapeau!<br/>

  • I am honored by your words and your award. Thank you so much. I shot this image with a Canon 5D Mark II. This little boy was trying so hard and being so gentle trying to coax the dragonfly to fly out of the window as it was hovering and seemed stuck, not able to get out.

  • ...taken at a local horse fair...these kids kept asking me to take their picture...so I obliged....the older one grabbed his younger brother around the neck to which he started to giggle....I got three frames (all three were great), but I liked this one the best, 'the missing' teeth and the naughty expression on the face of the older boy made for a natural 'boys will be boys' picture....thank you for my mark of excellence....Paul Anthony Wilson

  • A boy that looks straight into your soul. He has a curious glance in his eyes. It is hard to capture such strong feelings in one picture. A real close portrait that is technically well executed!

  • This shot is special and stands out. Only with black and white you produced an interesting scene only with silhouettes. Good job!

  • I took this photo with a Canon 7D and a 28-135mm lens while watching my daughter's evening soccer game in Lancaster, PA. As the sun set, I captured these children who were playing on swings in the background, as the light threw them into silhouette. Thank you for choosing my photo with a mark of excellence! ~Jennifer

  • WooHoo!!! This is a shot of my son who is my favorite subject! It took me three, including this shot, to get the perfect moment. I used my favorite setup because it is small and easy to shoot, the Canon 5DMk2 and a Canon 50mm f1.4. Thanks again!!

  • I really like this photo in many ways. The soft colours and the special mood...... You might feel, when you look at it after some time, a mix between exotic nostalgia and calmness. It is staged but in a beautiful and also natural way.

  • thanks for the mark of excellence. I shot this picture in Nepal,in a very foggy day in a mountain trail. The shot was natural. The girls were walking around and when I asked them if I cut take a picture, they just stoped and the rest it's this picture. Absolutely natural and in the very moment and it wasn't staged. But thanks for de comment.

  • I made this photo on a recent trip to El Salvador, my country of origin. We were in a remote mountainous region called El Pital. When I saw this beautiful girl, I knew she would make a wonderful subject. Taken with Nikon D800 and 24-70 mm f/2.8 at 70 mm. I feel honored to receive a Mark of Excellence award for my photo. Thank you! - Vilma

  • My name is Cheryl Clegg and I have been a commercial photographer in Boston since 1989. Clients have included CVS Pharmacy, Domino Sugar and Stonyfield Farms to name a few. I am the proud mother of 4 boys and a girl. The photo of the smiling child with the toad was taken on a hike in the rain in St. Agathe, Quebec. The camera was the one that fit in my pocket: a Canon Powershot. Post processing with just a few tweaks in Photoshop to give the photo an extra "pop." My daughter Abbie is the smiling child, and she was just having fun with her new found pet, a moment I had to capture.

  • Thank you! This photo was taken at the park near where I'm stationed in Maryland. My husband and my son have a game where he pulls the ninjababy back as far as he can and let go as the litle man laughs and squeals "I'm STUPERMAN!" I used my Canon 5D MkII and either the 24-105mm L lens or the 70-300mm lens. Post-processing was done in Lightroom 5 with the help of my trusty Wacom Bambo tablet (working on little details with the right hand is hard for a lefty!).
