  • We judged this competition ourselves and every one of the I Shot It team picked this photo in their personal shortlist. We asked I SHOT IT team member Matthias to provide critiques for us on the final photos and he said about this one that it is "Very aesthetic in an almost poetic style". Congratulations for creating this stunning - winning - image.

  • I am very happy and honored that my image has been selected. This image was taken with a sony A99 and carl zeiss 24-70mm F/2.8 in my garden. Backlit with the sun is achieving that wonderful rim lighting of subject & the raindrops stand out from the background ( exposure time is 1/320 sec to create a trail effect )

  • This photo came so close to being the winner, it emphasises what I SHOT IT is all about - seeing!! It has a very strong human connection and the reflected computer screen links nicely with I SHOT IT's online prescence. The person is observing with great intensity and demonstrates clearly that vision is the basis and core of photography. A very worthy second place.

  • We all loved this entry with its lovely reminder of film photography and its clever use of colour and reflections. With the I SHOT IT name so brilliantly picked out, how could we not have selected this entry for a Mark of Excellence?

  • A symbol like "Stonehenge" in a way - but there's no trickery here, just the grandeur of nature. A Mark of Excellence for another creative entry.

  • We loved the cycle race analogy in the story - being like the uphill struggle to win an I SHOT IT competition. Very well done - a very creative entry.

  • This picture has lots of feeling and mood in it. We'd like to think it suggests that I SHOT IT's 200,000 'likes' mean we are a hot prospect! Combine that with the girl looking in the far distance, into I SHOT IT's future and we like this Mark of Excellence winner a lot!

  • Thanks for taking note and for the top up. Taken with a Fuji X100 during a surprisingly narrow window of opportunity - dark enough to see the flames and light enough to see the beach + hand-hold the camera. Cheers - M Chant.

  • Again the number 200 is HOT! The receiving hands are almost praying - very symbolic. A good use of storytelling in a photo and a hot Mark of Excellence winner.

  • We like the idea of giving weight and gravity to our 200,000 likes achievement! An amusing idea captured in an artistic way and emphasised by the crop. Well done.

  • Ian Neel is the name and I was Born in California but lived most of my life in the sweet Midwest in the middle of Illinois. The shot was one of many in the search for 200. Working at a Printing company numbers surround me, but trying to capture the right orientation and feeling was the challenge. I used a Cannon Powershot SX500 IS, with natural light and sight contrast adjustment in the macro setting, along with cropping to give a fuller feel. Big Thanks To The " I Shot It " Judges for the mark of excellence, and any one else involved in the website. Also Big Thanks To Leica for just putting this site out there for Amateurs like me to get a chance with the big dogs. Much Love-

  • Many thanks for choosing my image. My name is Bob Patefield from North West England. I took the shot, at my place of employment, of my friend Andy. He always has the dirtiest hands. I used the amazing Olympus E-M5 with the Lumix 20mm Pancake lens and I processed it to look as gritty as possible. I'm also lucky enough to be a previous winner of one of the dog competitions. http://www.i-shot-it.com/competition.php?id=514257c2c31df Well done to the winner. It was my favorite also. My day to day photograaphy goes on 500.... http://500px.com/HotDogPhotography and my main website (which needs updating) is below. Cheers Bob

  • Everybody could have thought of this idea, but nobody else did it so well. It's not an easy technique, with a flashlight jumping to write the number 200 on a long exposure. Joy implemented in an artistic, circus-like performance!

  • Thank you for selecting this photo! It was taken with a Canon 50D on long exposure on a street in Edinburgh, and it was certainly an entertaining process repeating it until I got the "200" so it could be clearly seen!
