- Thanks for all the votes! My name is David Fok. I made this photo during a shoot in the studio, we were working with powder when I put some in her hair. I thought it would be interesting if she flung her hair with the powder. This photo is taken with a D800 and a 50mm lens with studio lights. - Haukland Beach, Vestvågøy, Lofoten, Norway This photo was taken at the Haukland Beach during February 2013. Fotografie (Photography) Daniel Osterkamp took this photo to show a contradiction of environmental pollution and beautiful beaches that get spoiled. Haukland beach ranks as one of the most beautiful beaches to take photos around sunset or during polar lights / aurora borealis activity. - My name is Paul J. Marto and I shot this Osprey in Orange County, California. I used my Canon 7D with a 100-400mm zoom lens. The mighty Osprey is seen snatching a large Rainbow Trout out of the lake. When I set out to catch these magnificent raptors in action, I never dreamed that I would be so lucky as to get a shot like this. A classic case of 'right place, right time' I guess. Frozen in time, this huge Osprey has just secured a meal and is seen exiting the water with his prize. - I would like to thank everyone for the votes and the judges for the Mark of Excellence. My name in Anthony Narkon from upstate New York. This is one of my favorite sunrise locations and i knew these trees were there and the snow would pitch in for a great shot, I used a Canon XTI with an 18-55 lens, The best thing is that this is straight out of the camera and that made it even better!!

I took this photo in Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Mysore, India. After many failed attempts I was finally able to get the right exposure for this Great Egret.
