  • this image is true art. the subtle tones -- almost white-on-white -- the starkness and clean lines make this image work well large or small. the curve of the tail around the stark white lines of the wall on which he is perched, instantly draws you in. absolutely wonderfully done and a truly memorable image. ~ illona

  • This photo of my cat Luna was shot with a Leica M9 with a 90mm f/2.8 Elmarit lens. Shot with available light, I kept the aperture wide open. The only post-processing was some color correction in LR. At the top of the stairwell by the dining room is this ledge from which Luna likes to "observe her domain". I shot this from about twenty feet below.

  • Thank you! I am so excited about winning 3rd place! This is my cat, Geraldine. It was taken last fall when she was looking out of our dining room window watching the leaves falling. I love the light in this photo. It was taken with a Canon T1i and my first foray into shooting Raw.

  • This photo was taken in the Spring of 2010. My best friend's grandparents live in Key Largo, and this is their lovely cat Squiggy, or as they call her, Squiqmond. Her temperament is very shy, but loves to follow and watch you. She kind of reminds me of myself and my camera, carefully observing everything around me. This was taken on a Canon Rebel XSI with a 50mm f1.4.

Here you can see LIsa, a Sacred Birman. The photo was taken in 2010, as Lisa was 15 years old... she lives today. I took the photo on a children's playground.
