  • These fish hang out with the flamingos and are actually begging for food, they hear the gum ball machine (filled with pellets) giggle and they come up to the surface to beg for food. The picture was taken with a Nikon d3200 and a standard 200mm lens. Post processed only for a haze border and minor color boost. Thanks to everyone for picking this winner it was a nice surprise. • My name is Dave Switzer I took this photo with a Nikon D80 and a 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 lens one morning in early December 2008 in the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge outside Sherwood, Oregon. It was a bitterly cold day with record snow fall when I photographed this coyote on a hunt for mice under the snow. If you look closely you can see a small patch on snow stuck to its nose from thrusting it into the snow.

  • My name is Carol Dombrowsky from Medford Oregon and I'm a 68 yr old grandma that loves doing photography as a hobby. My subject here is RDK's Oregon Rising Sun, a palomino Morgan stallion that is out of one of my Morgan mares. This shot was taken in his pasture. He loves to show off and really puts on a show when he hears the camera clicking. My camera is a Nikon D5000. ISO 200, focal length 105mm, f/8. I used Picasa 3 to edit out the background

  • Thank you all for your votes! My name is Kelly and I live in North Carolina. This is my Catahoula Leopard Hound, Denethor. He sat still for 2 seconds when I captured this. It was taken with a Canon 30-D, lighting was a halogen floor lamp, no flash, Tv mode at 400 ISO. Post-processing was first done in Photoshop 7 with a bit of light enhancement & sharpening and then more processing done using several filters within Topaz software to bring out more detail to make it pop.

Aperture 3 was used for post processing. Thanks for the votes!
