  • Thank you for your votes. I took this photo after my model pleaded with me to let her put on her ballet pointe shoes. I'm glad I gave in, because this shot is one of my favorites. The tracks are always a fun place to work!

  • Thank you for all the votes. I so appreciate them. I took this photo on April 3, 2012 in our front pasture in Central Florida as the sun burned off the morning fog. I used a Cannon Rebel xs with a 75-300 Cannon Lens. There was no processing done to this, the photo is as it was taken that morning.

  • Thank you so much for all votes! My name is Alexey Pronin; I live in San Diego. This picture was taken at Mono Lake, California. On that December 2004 evening I got lucky and the sky put up a great sunset show, providing a nice background for tufas (limestone formations). I took this photo with Maxxum 7xi camera, Minolta 35/1.8 lens and Velvia100 film. I lightened up tufas with a flash. The slide was scanned; some digital processing was done to improve contrast. • Thank you so much for this honor...I very much appreciate the recognition. My name is Fraida Gutovich and I consider myself primarily a wildlife and avian photographer. This photo was taken at the Los Angeles Zoo during a morning feeding for the chimpanzees. The chimps were very engrossed in consuming their breakfast consisting of carrots and onions. The equipment I used was a Nikon D3100 with a 55-300mm lens.

  • I'm a freelance photographer near Philadelphia, Pa. My primary subjects are nature-related but I also enjoy portraiture, urban scenes, macro, wildlife, and more. This is a photo of the Oxbow Bend on the Snake River, with the majestic Mt. Moran in the background, Grand Teton Nat'l Park, Wyoming . Don’t miss the happy duck in the foreground! This image was made in October 2011 with a Nikon D3s, during peak fall colors.

  • First of all I would like to thank everyone for the votes! This picture was taken near the small town of Owingsville, KY. I am usually carrying my Pentax K-R but while out on a drive through the countryside I was able to capture this swinging bridge with my Sony Cybershot H-7. Thanks again to the voters and to "I Shot It" for this great site. Phillip Barber

  • This was photographed near Masonville Colorado, I was driving to photograph a wedding near Estes Park when I saw this collection of old farm equipment. Shot with a Canon 7D and a 17-55 is lens at about 20mm. The setting was f 5.6 at 1/300. I used layers to bring up the sky and add contrast to the wagon. Cal Landau Palm Beach Florida

  • Thanks to all who voted for "Canine Cove." I took this with my Nikon Coolpix when the redbuds were in bloom. Fredo is a a "gollie" (golden retriever-collie mix) that was rescued from the pound. He's not only photogenic, but very bright, as well. -- Kat Moore, Harriman, Tn

  • Many thanks for all of your votes! This tulip caught my eye in 2006 because it seemed forlorn. It was taken with a Canon Digital Rebel, Canon 50mm lens, f/8, 1/100 sec, ISO 100. Flaming Pear "Flood" filter added for water effect in Photoshop 7 after slight brightening of image.
