  • Whow, what an honour to win this competition. I am Kees and I live near Bordeaux. This is an Infra-red image shot using a converted Canon D60. I was out photographing clouds for my stock database when I saw the tree and the cloud and I just knew that there was a picture to be taken. It took a bit of walking to get the right angle but the result was what I had in mind. I love how nature works.

  • Hi. My name is Rhonda Horn. I took this picture in May of 2010. It was taken in front of theSilver Moon Lodge in Estes Park, CO, next to the Fall River. We weren't expecting any snow on this trip but surprisingly got almost 2 feet. It was a nice surprise, and so beautiful. I took this picture with a Sony Cyber shot. There were so many beautiful pictures in this competition. Thank You for taking the time to look at them and vote!

    • This photo was taken in Osceola County, Michigan. It's not very often that we get slow moving storms with good lightning and very little rain. My brother & I grabbed our gear and set up the cameras & tripods on a hill in a hay field. We had a lot of fun and were fortunate enough to get some good photos! I used a Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 50mm lens, Manfrotto tripod & head. 30 sec exposure at f/10, ISO 640. Thanks for taking the time to check out the photos & vote! Rob Harrington

      • I am Priscilla Morris, painter of many of my photos. This fall beauty was taken at Bass Lake NC, just outside of Blowing Rock NC. Peak of fall colors so a perfect time for my Canon Rebel XT EOS and was handheld. I was hiking on the Blueridge Parkway near this lovely area off the drive. The next day a strong front with driving rain came in and blew most of the leaves off. Thanks for voting for this photo!

      • My name is Lisa Colberg and I live in CT. I took this shot on our street the morning of 11/9/11, after my oldest son got on the school bus. The fog was mesmerizing! I ran back inside, grabbed my camera and asked my 2 younger kids to walk up the street and hold hands. I used my Canon Rebel XS, 18-55mm; F6.3, 1/80sec. I edited with Kodak Easyshare to slightly enhance the colors. I am very honored to have received this Mark of Excellence among so many wonderful entries. Thank you!!
