There is a lovely intimacy in this image. As the viewer, we feel like we are standing at this horse's flank and moving with it. The deep, rich red of his coat, and the glimmer of the sun on the mane and neck, draw us in. The curve of the horse's neck works beautifully with the path that curves into the distance. I almost wonder that this image would be even stronger if the cattle and the distant barn could be edited out so that the landscape was simpler, allowing the lovely color and lines of this horse to stand out even more. Nicely done.
